Hi, it's Daniel. Your progress has been saved.
If you'd like to try a new idea, you can write it straight into what you've already written, or you can press Try an idea. That invites an AI assistant to leave suggestions in the margins throughout the manual. It isn't a chatbot: it reads what you've written and makes notes, which you can keep or dismiss. Your words are sent to the model only to make those notes; they aren't used to train it, and nobody here reads them. It's only really useful once you've filled in a fair bit of the manual, so it has something to work from.
This manual is open to you for as long as you own Plotting and Planning Your Novel. There's no deadline, and you can use it on as many novel ideas as you like: just start a new book from the button at the top, and every idea is kept. If you'd ever like everything you've written here deleted, send us an email at info@danieldavidwallace.com.
Each novel you plan gets its own copy of the manual. Switch between them here, or start another.
Type something new about your novel: a character, a twist, a change of mind. The manual's assistant reads what you've written so far and leaves short notes in the margins wherever the idea might ripple. They are notes, not changes. Nothing you've written is touched, you can dismiss any note, and the idea itself is kept below so you don't lose the thought.
Pressing the button sends this idea and your answers so far to our AI assistant, a model, not a person, so it can write the notes. We don't read them, and your writing is not used to train the model.
You've written a few pages now. Before you go further, let's make sure they're safe: on another device, or if this browser forgets.
Your answers are already saved in this browser. Saving them to your account means they follow you to any device. Give me the email address you bought the course with and I'll send you a sign-in link. No password.
